November is around the corner and the academic year seems to have just started. The global pandemic has dominated most of 2020, forcing most of us to either work from home or others having to re-skill themselves. Many learning institutes had to shut down and students had to resort to distance learning. However, this proved challenging as the ICB could not find suitable venues to accommodate all distance students and had to reschedule their exams for August once all the arrangements were in place.
Saber Business School likewise had to scale down our student intake to adhere to the required protocols. We were fortunate that we could assist one student in her quest for success i.e. Ilse Ross of Ross Accounting. With one module to go and the uncertainty of distance exams, Ilse joined SBS to expedite her study journey.
The next few weeks were gruelling as she worked with the rest of the students but she soon won their hearts with her charismatic personality. At SBS we have a proven methodology of group work that encourages students to think creatively, build strong communication skills, stimulates interest and increase confidence apart from forging a strong network amongst budding professionals.
It was an emotional October as we had a 100% pass for Corporate Strategy and Ilse Ross completed the final leg of the Financial Accounting Programme to obtain her National Diploma in Financial Accounting. This further allowed her to immediately register with SAIBA to become a Business Accountant in Practice (SA). The BAP(SA) is an official designation for accounting officers, and licensed independent reviewers and tax practitioners.
In the words of Ilse Ross,
So after many years of studying and long nights I finished my NQF 6 and applied to SAIBA for a business accountant in practice designation so that I can compile, review and present financial statements and guess what, I received an email from SAIBA today🌟 Business Accountant in Practice (SA) Approved 🌟. Just keep going guys it is worth it. Work hard and you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
At Saber Business School we were humbled by the warm words, given the wonderful person we had met and the positive energies she brought to the Business School. Thank you, Ilse for the following warm words:
Congratulations to Saber Business School for the part they played in achieving this milestone💪🏽 and may you continue to aspire and inspire👌. Ghulaam has been amazing in helping me achieve what I did. Thank you so much.
No doubt the students were equally excited with the hundred percent pass rate and the achievement of Ilse Ross. Thank you to the students for sharing in the excitement.
